Redemptive Suffering

Dr. Lombardi will present the Church’s teaching on the value of redemptive suffering. With a special focus on scripture and the writings of Pope St. John Paul II, she will show how understanding the redemptive value of Christ’s suffering and our participation as members of His body can help us find meaning in our own suffering.

  • Dr. Lombardi is a regular presenter at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress. She has keynoted at major conferences in Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa, and in the USA.
  • She is facilitating a series of webinars for the Year of Prayer for the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
  • Archbishop Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, prepared the foreword for her book, On Earth as it is in Heaven. Jubilee Edition. (Novalis, 2023)
  • Sister Nathalie Becquart, Vatican Undersecretary for the Synod on Synodality, prepared the foreword for her book, Marian Approaches to Synodality. (Paulist Press, 2024)
